MCS continues to play a vital role in leading efforts to support legacy businesses in the City of Los Angeles. In the last three months, we’ve helped 19 businesses receive official recognition from the City and facilitated access to more than $460,000 in capital, including $220,000 in grants. MCS’ economic development division is currently in the process of retaining over 60 jobs and seeks to secure grant opportunities for these local businesses.

Managed Career Solutions (MCS) is a high-performing human capital, workforce and economic development agency with State designation as a Social Purpose Corporation (SPC) and Los Angeles County designation as a certified Social Enterprise (SE). MCS’ Workforce and Economic Development Development Division has over 30 years experience providing critical employment and training services to youth, adult, dislocated worker and senior job-seekers by enhancing their occupational competitiveness for entry or re-entry into high growth industry sectors within the Greater Los Angeles workforce.
MCS is especially adept at mitigating barriers to employment and holds many specialized grants to serve special populations, including but not limited to, Veterans, persons with disabilities, homeless and housing insecure individuals, individuals with current or previous justice involvement. MCS is a competitively procured contractor of Federal, State and local workforce and economic development contracts. Annually, we enroll over 5,000 clients in our workforce and economic development programs.
Currently, MCS operates (5) comprehensive America’s Job Centers of California (AJCCs), multiple affiliate AJCCs and numerous community satellites. Also, MCS operates (3) BusinessSource Centers with focus on growing small businesses throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Over the past three years, and across all programs MCS has served over 80,000 individuals.
Meet EWDD’s West Valley Business Source Center operator- Managed Career Solutions (MCS)
Over the course of their 5-week Spanish Business Accelerator Program (BAP), MCS provided guidance to 97 participants, resulting in the establishment or structuring of 33 businesses and a total of 65 graduates. The graduation ceremony gave participants the opportunity to table their business and showcase their products or services.
The accelerator program also provided essential business fundamentals, including the opportunity of a $5K micro-business loan, business plan development, and licensing assistance, catering to ITIN holders to formalize their ventures.
